My boiler had been on the fritz for the past few months, hot water would stop intermittently, the water pressure was low and it made very loud noises sometimes. The engineer told to me start the hot water after some tinkering and voila! Everything was working as intended. 5 months later and my boiler is still working perfectly, no hot water cutting out, no loud noises, and the water pressure in perfectly tuned.
