Glasgow's Growth

The next few years are set to be quite the growth for Glasgow. With so many construction projects in the
pipeline and planned, we're in for some great new designs and facilities.

First off is the new developments taking place in Glasgow Queen street station. The project is will feature a much more accessible and attractive train station with more retail opportunities. It will be able to accommodate more people, more trains and will have an entrance facing George Square. £120 million pounds has went into this project and we're certainly excited for it.

Next we have Glasgow Caledonian University campus, it's being redeveloped with a budget of £30 million pounds. They're alling it the "Heart of the Campus project" and they hope to create much more effective learning areas and much more accessible and enjoyable social areas. Work begins in Summer 2014 and many students are anticipating something great, as are we.

Lastly we have a new Strathclyde University building nearing completion on George Street. This has been under construction for some time now and a previous building had to be demolished to make room for this new development. The building is looking very nice and we're hoping to find out exactly what it will be used for soon.
